It’s indicative of our times how we can, with one touch of a finger, delete people, from our phones, our facebook pages and so on, and in some cases, never have to see or hear from them again. And with ever-encroaching technology, we are encouraged to behave in kind, trying to convince ourselves that it is as easy for our human hearts to simply flip a switch and negate a soul as it is for our machines, but it is not.
